Taking a privileged position in the historic Crown Building, Aman New York is the latest addition to Aman’s ever-growing portfolio of ultra-luxe properties in urban locations and is set to become a prime addition to Manhattan’s skyline.

A key moment for the hotel group under its leadership of Vlad Doronin, this magnificent hotel, members’ club and private residences have been designed under the direction of Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects and offer the ultimate escape in the Big Apple.

Home to 83 exquisite suites, each is designed with subtle nods to Aman’s Asian heritage and offers a wealth of splendour and lavishly appointed amenities. As well as being amongst the largest in the city, the suites here are fully soundproofed, offering a sense of escapism from your private sanctuary and touches including functioning fireplaces and marble rain showers echo Aman’s properties across the East.

Adding to the unique offering of Aman New York is the first Aman Club to be located within a hotel, giving members and guests the opportunity to access two incredible club lounges, an expansive private garden terrace, cigar lounge and wine room.

The centrepiece of the hotel is undoubtedly its vast spa spanning over three floors and comprising a 20-metre indoor pool, two spa houses and the latest in fitness equipment.

Where to Eat in Bodrum

Take to the fashionable Turkish Riviera with our pick of the best spots to grab a bite to eat; from the ultra-trendy beach club of Amanruya to the modern Cantonese cuisine of Hakkasan; we’ve shortlisted the three must-visit destinations in Bodrum for your reading pleasure.


 Hakkasan Bodrum

Taking an open-air setting for its annual residency at the glitzy Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, London’s iconic Michelin-starred Cantonese Hakkasan brings its Asian flavours, flagship décor and melodic sounds in a stylish space overlooking the Aegean sea.

Loyal fans of Hakkasan’s numerous global outposts can rejoice as the menu features all of the favourites that have become somewhat of a staple, from its much-loved Peking duck (and, of course, the option to add caviar) to the Dim Sum platters we have come to crave.

Alongside its champion dishes, the Bodrum outpost has a number of smart additions to the menu, the hero of which is its Hakkasan supreme seafood platter; exquisitely presented, you can expect to indulge in 50g of caviar, hand-dived scallops, tiger prawns and a masterfully prepared lobster mango – the platter is served as part of its signature tasting menus and can be added on to the others.

Other noteworthy dishes on the menu include a marinated Supreme tomahawk steak, grilled Mongolian lamb chop and my new go-to dessert, chocolate hazelnut dumplings.

Malva at Susona Bodrum

Taking its name from the herby Mallow plant, Malva is one of Bodrum’s most celebrated restaurants and serves authentic Aegean cuisine using locally produced ingredients, many of which are sourced from local farms.

With a menu created in line with the Aegean seasons, Malva benefits from an enviable view of the Aegean sea, and the open-air restaurant enjoys live music on most nights during the season with a curated calendar of bands, sunset DJs and performers throughout.

Expertly blended cocktails served in Malva’s adjoining cocktail bar are paired with dishes inspired by the region, and some of its signature tastes include Bargilya shrimp, a tomato salad using local colourful tomatoes and its notable Catch of The Day, which is always done to perfection.

The Beach Club at Amanruya

Bringing Aman’s design aesthetic to the Bodrum Peninsula, Amanruya takes a privileged spot about a half-hour drive away from the town of Bodrum and offers a scenic escape surrounded by luscious nature and overlooking its own private bay.

Set against the shimmering waters of the bay is Amanruya’s own Beach Club, a hidden gem overlooked by woody headland and picturesque trees; the club is made up of terraces sat atop a pebble beach, making for the perfect spot of al fresco dining.

Open daily for lunch and for cocktails in the evening, the Beach Club is open to both resort guests and non-residents and serves local specialities alongside fresh seafood and cocktails crafted by mixologists from a bar newly added for this season.
