Nōema Mykonos is a stylish restaurant, bar, and salon set in the vibrant area of Chora. Already set to become a hotspot on the party island of Mykonos, this stylish destination offers a mix of Greek food, expertly curated cocktails, and a DJ or live performance on most evenings.
Following the success of Scorpios, famed restaurateur Richard Caring has enlisted K-Studio architects to recreate the bohemian vibe and typically Myconian vibes the island is so well-loved for. You enter Noema through a dramatic entrance with an oversized black amphora before being led out onto a breezy pathway leading onto the open kitchen, bar, and main dining floor.
Tastefully refined as one would expect of a Caprice spin-off, Nōema’s interior features raw concrete and textured tiles against darker tones of wood and drystone walls. There is a nod to the elements through large plants adorning the space and earthenware, which amplifies this fashionable nightspot’s free-spirited aura.
A multi-sensory space, Nōema is an experience enjoyed in many ways, there is a concept store onsite specialising in the uber-trendy outfits the staff don here, think oversized black layers and cool long robes encapsulating the Greek style they’re inspired by. A further outdoor bar for live performances and an indoor salon give a sense of variety and each space has its own distinct character while keeping to the overall look and feel of the space.
For food, Nōema certainly doesn’t disappoint, in a steer away from the number of international outposts of global restaurants chains, the food here is authentically Mediterranean – a surprising rarity in this typically Greek island. Ranging from sharing Meze and larger plates, the food is mixed between pescatarian dishes and vegetarian platters, favourites on the innovative menu include crispy octopus with oxynel and charred beets with hazelnut pesto.
As well as the incredible cuisine on offer, Nōema also specialises in its expertly mixed in-house elixirs and a number of organic wines.
With its first season already being a massive success, loyal visitors to the island are already waiting to see what’s in store for Nōema’s next season.
