And it is a wrap! Berkeley Bespoke does Cannes Film Festival
For 12 days, the 72nd edition of the Festival de Cannes has celebrated artists and films from different perspectives, making cinema a celebration of discovery and reunions shared all around the World. And Berkeley Bespoke had the pleasure to walk the red carpet, having eye contacts with the planet’s most desirable stars and hearing this wonderful speech:
“Every remittance of a Palme is unique and wonderful. And I could count every moment of every year. When a Palme d’Or is awarded to a great master, as was the case for Malick, Haneke or Polanski, it is amazing because one has the feeling that the Cannes awards keep step with history. I hope that it will always be this grail that makes filmmakers dizzy with desire. May it continue to give its blessing to talent by rewarding great artists, or discovering who the promising filmmakers of tomorrow will be.”
One of our favorite looks, was presented by the Danish-Thai model and actress Rita Sririta Jensen, during premiere of ‘Les Miserables’. Rita was wearing a magical Michael Cinco C
outure gown, that truly become one of the most talked about pieces.
Her look was styled with Avakian’s ravishing pink sapphire and diamond necklace and matching earrings from the High Jewellery Collection.
Andrew Bezhenar at the amfAR
Supporting philanthropy and with the great sympathy, Andrew Bezhenar, Co-Founder of Berkeley Bespoke had the pleasure to attend the 26th annual amfAR Gala in Cannes, that raised more than $15 million the Foundation for AIDS Research, and its pursuit of a cure for HIV/AIDS. The star-studded black-tie event held at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc was presented by Chopard, JOLLYONE, and Young Merry Real International Group.
The evening opened with a surprise performance by Austrian operatic tenor Andreas Schager, whose powerful rendition of “Nessun Dorma” set the stage for a spectacular line-up of musical guests. Global superstar Mariah Carey had the audience singing along to her chart- topping hits and legendary singer Tom Jones performed iconic songs such as “Soul of a Man” and “It’s Not Unusual.”
Event Host Chris Tucker welcomed guests and introduced longtime amfAR supporter and amfAR Ambassador Milla Jovovich, who emphasized that funds raised during the evening directly impact amfAR’s lifesaving research efforts, which are “bringing us closer and closer to a cure.” She then thanked the event’s sponsors for their generosity and welcomed amfAR Chairman of the Board William H. Roedy to the stage.
A stunning feature of the evening was the We Can Be Heroes Collection fashion show curated by longtime amfAR supporter Carine Roitfeld. The collection featured one-of-a-kind looks from the World’s most celebrated fashion houses. Participating designers included Balmain, Bosideng, Celine, Chanel, Dior, DSQUARED2, Fendi, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, Gucci, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Off-White, Prada, Saint Laurent, Tom Ford, Versace, and more. Some of the world’s top models participated in the runway presentation, including Cindy Bruna, Winnie Harlow, Elsa Hosk, Martha Hunt, Kendall Jenner, Stella Maxwell, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver, and more.
